President, Gloria Morrow

Welcome to the Omega Delta Omega Chapter website of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®! A trailblazer, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® was founded in 1908 on the campus of Howard University, establishing the foundation of sororities for African American women for over 115 years. Since our chartering on December 12, 2015, the goal of Omega Delta Omega Chapter has been to provide service to all mankind, specifically in the Southern California Inland Empire and the low desert, Palm Springs areas.

Our International President and CEO, Danette Anthony Reed, continues leading all our illustrious sorority members in “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service & Sisterhood.” The following initiatives are in full operation in our chapter, Omega Delta Omega (ODO) to ensure that we are doing our part to enhance the vision of our leader:

•Strengthen Our Sisterhood

•Empower Our Families

•Build Our Economic Wealth

•Enhance Our Environment

•Advocate for Social Justice

•Uplift Our Local Community

We strive to reach the goals that have been set for us by fostering a Beloved Community where everyone feels valued and heard, unifying our mission to serve all mankind through better engagement between the chapter and its partners, increasing membership of both new and former members, fostering greater sisterhood through increased engagement in our social, service, and sisterly bonding activities and enhancing our fundraising methods.

We have been successful in reaching our goals through our service to the community, such as our signature event, the Celebration of Life Breakfast in October where we honor and celebrate the lives of cancer survivors in our community. We also provide need-based scholarships to deserving students in the community to assist with their higher education goals. The chapter supports the James O. Jessie Desert Highland Unity Center in Palm Springs to address the needs of this underserved community. Finally, we are a proud Platinum supporter of the Educational Advancement Foundation (EAF) of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. ®, which provides scholarships and supports endowments at HBCU’s.

Together, the Omega Delta Omega Chapter will continue to SOAR through Service and Sisterhood, Optimism, Accountability, and Respectful Interactions. We look for opportunities to serve, and to fellowship with not only the Sorors of our chapter, but our Sorors all over the world.
